POINTING MACHINES, special machines for drawn pipe production, are horizontal hydraulic presses that create a taper on the tube end to allow easy clamping for the following drawing machine.
One tip of the pipe is clamped by a special hydraulic clamp and it is forced through a conic matrix (or through a series of matrixes with decreasing dimension).
