FERROCAM manufactured several quenching plants for steel bars (pipes, rounds etc.) through a series of quenching heads.

QUENCHING HEADS are compact systems to achieve rapid cooling of bars previously heated to high temperatures with traditional gas or induction furnaces.
cooling takes place by directing water jets toward the bar tangentially or radially, while the bar moves forward with rototraslatory motion.

A quenching head is made of a circular series of adjustable collectors, each one equipped with a row of little tubes on which the nozzles are mounted, directed towards the center of the quenching head.

The collectors are fed through hoses connected to two main toroidal collectors which evenly distribute the water.
The quenching heads are mounted on motorized structures allowing height adjustments according to the treated-bar diameter.
